New space in Qadita.net for LGBTQ writers

In an unprecedented and historic step, Qadita.net (a new Arabic-based website) creates a space for LGBTQ writers to publish their writings.

The space, launched in mid-August 2010, was created in cooperation with alQaws for Sexual and Gender Diversity in Palestinian Society.

Through publishing all forms of literary writings, articles, and reviews, the space aims to present the points of views of LGBTQ people in Palestine and neighbouring countries on a diverse set of issues: from literature and the arts, to public freedoms.

This presents the LGBTQ discourse as an integral and inseparable part of the more general liberal and secular discourse.
