alQaws Newsletter is Out!

Welcoming a New Decade of Palestinian Queer Activism

Over the past 10 years, alQaws has accomplished a great deal, and done much to impact the discourse of gender and sexuality in Palestinian society.  It has established a proactive network of community activists, organized various public events and workshops and published numerous articles on gender and sexuality in leading Palestinian and Arab journals.  Furthermore, alQaws has set up a National Support Helpline for LGBTQ people and their families, in coordination with Aswat Palestinian Gay Women, and succeeded in opening a variety of safe spaces for local groups.

alQaws community organizers and grassroots activists have accomplished so much and are looking forward to what the future brings. Through its work, alQaws has managed to bring increased attention to the work that Palestinian LGBTQ activists do and has gained valuable support from local and international activists and intellectuals...
